    MESS (Men's Bible Study)
    • MESS: Men Exploring Sacred Scripture

M.E.S.S. is a group of adult men who gather every Thursday to reflect and share thoughts about the Scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday Mass from 7:30-8:30 AM in the Church Social Space. Each member of the group sets aside some quiet time during the early part of the week to read and reflect alone on the upcoming Sunday Scripture readings in order to be prepared to share his thoughts with the group on Thursdays. All adult males who would like to experience a deeper understanding of Holy Scripture, grow in their faith, and enhance the celebration of the Sunday Mass are welcome to participate.  Please call the Parish Office to be connected to the group leader.

    That Man is You
    • That Man is You

That Man is You (TMIY) meets on Saturday mornings starting at 7 a.m. in the Church Social Space. 13-week sessions are held in the fall and in the spring. Meetings include breakfast, fellowship with other men of the parish, a half-hour video presentation and small group discussion.

TMIY is an interactive men’s program combining the best research from science with the teachings of the Catholic faith and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive. By honestly addressing the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, That Man Is You (TMIY) seeks to form men who will be capable of transforming homes and society.

      7:00 a.m., Saturdays, September 13th thru December 20th.

    Prayer Chain
    • Prayer Chain

The Resurrection Prayer Chain invites anyone in the parish to pray for requests which come from our parishioners.  The Prayer Chain is immediate:  persons are contacted by phone or email as soon as a petition is requested.  Participation in this ministry places one in a spiritual relationship with the members of the parish, which benefits everyone.  To place a prayer on the prayer chain, contact Karen Meyer:
      [email protected]  (563) 580-5819.

    Prayer Warrior
    • Prayer Warrior

Being a Prayer Warrior is an opportunity for homebound, elderly, or ill to pray for the needs of the parish whenever they are able. There are no dues and no meetings to attend, but there is the profound responsibility of offering prayer and suffering in union with Jesus for the many needs of the parish and its ministers.

    Rosary Makers
    • Rosary Makers

In the spring of 2008, parishioner Joe Clancy initiated the Resurrection Rosary Group.  The Rosary Makers are affiliated with a national group, Our Lady’s Rosary Makers (OLRM), which sends a periodical to their members listing, among other things, requests for rosaries.  Resurrection rosaries are among those that go on ships out of south Florida and are hand-carried by missionaries to the people they serve in foreign lands.  Among those countries served are South America, Haiti, India, Iraq, Africa, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines, Rosaries are also distributed to Military Chaplains.

Members join in short prayer and put together packets of beads, crosses, and cord to make 10 rosaries at home. The completed rosaries are then returned to the group coordinator. New volunteers are taught how to make rosaries by current group members or the group coordinator. Supplies are purchased with donations within the group or from others who support this effort.  All are most welcome to join in this ministry!

  • Adult Formation

    • If you want to be a part of a small faith sharing group and/or would be willing to host in your home, please email or call Wendy at the parish office. Our parish has a subscription to an online platform called FORMED which has thousands of videos to watch and discuss, all free for our parishioners to watch. It is super easy to facilitate a study. Simply find a series on FORMED, watch it, and discuss it. What an easy way to grow in your faith while also being in community with others!

    • Connected Catholic

Starting in September, we will be offering sessions once a month about our Catholic faith called Connected Catholic. These sessions are geared towards lifelong Catholics who are wanting to be more connected to the faith they were born into. This year, the topics we will be covering are:

      • Parish Mission on the Holy Spirit

ALL women of the parish are invited to read "Hope: The Autobiography” by Pope Francis. Books will be available at River Lights Bookstore.  We will meet in the Community Room at the parish office on Thursday mornings from 7:30-9:00 am for discussion. We hope you will join us!

    • ADORE

Join us Monday Mornings Starting Nov. 24 from 9:00 until 10:00 am or Monday Evenings from 6:30 until 7:30 pm for 5 weeks for an Advent Bible Study. A Guided Advent Journal from Ave Maria Press called ADORE. “Of all the Seasons of the Year, Advent offers us perhaps the clearest sense of Adventure and Journey. It is a season for resetting our horizon, reframing our movement toward fullness in Christ. And even though Advent is brief, it is filled with Spiritual riches. Yet, because Advent falls during a busy time of year, we often rush over or even miss the treasures God Places before us in the Church. The book we are going to read is organized around a desire to lift these gifts up and hold them out in a way that deepens your entry into the Greatest of Mysteries.” Please register so that we can get a book ordered for you. Click here to Register
